This first one unfortunately, I can really relate to. Especially the sad part about losing one's faith and feeling betrayed by God. Profoundly lonely feeling and difficult to overcome. I am so sadden by the loss of this young man.
This second article is a bit different, but equally as tragic. I hope his family can find some way to cope with the loss of little Jack. My heart is with them...

Today I was an activist
It has been a long, very long time since I have thought of myself as an "activist". I suppose in some subtle ways, I have been in my post-illness life. Today I actually wrote 3 letters to significant individuals on behalf of my cause. I must admit it felt good and powerful.
I guess you can call that the inspiration to start a blog. I have been extremely moved by some of those great blogger out there. Putting it all out there so honestly giving others some sense of hope and unity. I have never been much of a writer or honestly cared for writing as a way to express myself. It was never a talent I much possessed. So I applaud you if you read this. I am doing this more for myself to vent. If someone gets something out of it-great what a bonus!
